At last! All nations participating in EURO 2012 finals were waiting for this even that finally took place in Kyiv. Well, Poland should worship football gods for what it got. While Ukraine, seemed to got the strongest rivals it could possibly get. At the same time, Oleg Blokhin, chief coach of Ukraine’s team says he’s satisfied with the qualifying. Anyway, Ukraine starts EURO 2012 with a game against blue-and-yellow Sweden.

Lviv stadium

EURO 2012 stadium in Lviv is said to be opened by October 15 of this year, says Head of Lviv Regional State Administration Mykhailo Tsymbalyuk.

“By October 15 we manage to put the stadium together with infrastructure into commission. In November we plan to finish construction of Lviv airport international terminal,” says Mr. Tsymbalyuk.

The most important task for Ukraine in its preparation for EURO 2012 is preparation of the national team for European football championship, says Vice Prime Minister in Charge of EURO 2012 preparation Borys Kolesnikov at a press conference held after signing of agreement between Ukraine’s Sothern Railway and Hyundai Corporation on purchase of 10 high speed electro-trains.
